Wow. All of those are in social work or teaching related. I guess that would be because I answered no for all the science/technology things.
Today I had a lot of fun! MEP ROCKS. Was in lt2 from 8-5. Wasn't very productive, only covered chapter 7 and half of 8 for chem, but at least I read some P&P and notes. Mrs Bennet is really very funny in a "hahaha you're so stupid" kind of way.
Tomorrow's the day! I can't wait for it to be over. I've given up practising today, already did so much. I'll spend more time psycho-ing myself instead. Probably would help much better than just making my arms more tired.
Yihui told me something very touching just now. She said, "Jane I like your touch" while I was Mozart-ing. Then she realized it didn't sound very correct.

So fun there are 3 pathetic people in MEP. Oh I really can't wait for tomorrow to be over!!! I'm going to start learning K310 straight away! Would like to do the chromatic fantasy / fugue too, but not sure if I can. I'll ask my teacher. She's approved of K310 though. Oh <3 I can't wait to learn it!
Must find some nice Chopin too. Or try Schubert. And of course Debussy! Must.
Gabriel is super pro. I can't stand it. Junqi also. I shall practise damn hard and aspire to be like my pro friends one day.
My mummy bought more mooncakes! :D I must start running after promos. At least 30 mins a day, I promise. It'll be good for me. Good for my 72.

Alright my group is still rushing last minute PW, so I don't think I'll be able to finish the things I set out to do today. No matter. I'll finish math I first, I think.
On friday I saw this couple feeding each other candy floss. It was disgusting. Don't do things like that is public pls.
Oh my today Rachel Buddy cried from stress. This is so scary. I will call her everyday. Promos are killing JrCats! Nooooo ): Like, even Gareth is mildly stressed.
I think I understand the motivation behind Mr Otto Fong's coming out, in a literary sort of way. Think long day's and P&P combined- one must face up to one's issues by going to the root of it (psychological!), and be true to oneself in by the means of open, true communication unhindered by civility. In the words of Darcy, "We neither of us perform to strangers."
This is fantastic, I can relate to my lit texts.
It is undeniable that he has caused (unecessary?) trouble to the school. Think about the context. No matter what the truth of the situation is, people will talk, and action will have to be taken. I'm just curious to see what ensues.
I've had my fill of mooncakes and tea, so study pls.

Aiyah today was so not productive. I feel so sad. I tried to do P&C but failed miserably. My P&C is very lousy. Then Summation also. I can do MI but not summation/APGP. Omg. Maths cannot A how ): Then I finished studying reaction kinetics, but got lazy to continue.
I have 4 boxes of mooncakes at home! That makes me happy.
Next year I'm definitely playing K310 1st movement for something. It's too nice not to be played. Must try Debussy too. I want to learn I Got Rhythm someday cos it's SO nice <3

Today's MEP lecture thing was excruciatingly boring. Honestly. What he covered could be done in 30 mins.
Wind masterclass was super cool! Buzzing is really difficult. I tried in the shower just now, and only produced 1s worth of buzzing. Oh my. Respect man, Jin Jun and Wen Rong.
Hahaha Royce and I were crapping on the bus to acsi about accents and cows and dowry. That should totally be the theme for our 2nd concert! Royce is so pretty. It doesn't matter if Gabriel's got hotter fingers, I love you the way you are, Royce :)
I took 166 with Gabriel (with the hot but short fingers) and Oi Man. It was a new experience, sitting at the back of the upper deck of the bus for 1.5 hours trying to contain our hunger and complaining about promos. I love Oi Man.
I woke up at 6 today to put contacts. Wah I took damn long la. My problem is prying my eye open big enough so that the contact lens can actually fit. My eyes are so small :( And it's difficult in the morning when your eyes are still sleepy and half-closed.
Ok ok PW.

I GOT CONTACTS!
This is possibly the most exciting thing that I have ever put on! I'm glad I didn't take too long to try putting them on, although I take ages for my left eye as compared to the right. (See I'm left brained) But omg I feel bare like nude giant girls that have no secret. I keep on wanting to push my specs up but I end up touching my nose now.
Hmm. Everyday we go deeper into that line. Last night Yen and I understood the use of "that" (instead of 'who') and "secret" (instead of 'secrets'). Omg so profound. And I just realized the use "no" instead of "do not". Omg. I love lit. We could probably write a whole page just about that line. It is so brilliant.
And omg my eyes were too small so the uncle had to take another pair of smaller contacts. Wahpiang. Then when I put on, must open like mad. I think wearing contacts must be so much more difficult for people with small eyes. But also safer in that they don't move around as much? I don't know.
Before that had laksa with Ge and Yiing <3 Haha so fun. Ge saw a picture of JJLin at the laksa stall and went crazy. She was sighing and smiling to herself for quite some time. I never knew a member of the male species could induce such behaviour in The Manly Canoeist. We talked a lot, mainly about 7C. But in conclusion, we love 7C <3
Then Ge and I went back to PS. And omg we took the same 14 that we took to katong!!! So exciting. PS has changed a lot.
On the bus to katong, I got a call from Prav. You DIE, Prav. Totally.

And that was today's lit lecture test unseen poem. It's pretty difficult to misread, actually. I was glad of that. And our essays were only like 1.5 pages long, so I guess it's how well we develop our points that counts. I'm happy enough with my answer. I think it's a brilliant poem. I'll never forget Bare like nude, giant girls that have no secret. Omg the image, the contrast, all the layers of meaning.
This is why we love lit. It's of so much more artistic and intellectual value than say geog. I'm sorry, but it's true. You need some sensitivity to do lit. Geog is just mugging, like bio. And I'm pretty sure you don't get the moments of literary enlightenment that we experience, oh the joy of understanding what the author is trying to say, and the beauty and skill with which s/he does it.
Oh I am so glad I have this subject combi. I think taking subjects that you enjoy improves your school life tremendously. Lessons are never THAT much of a drag. In fact, I look forward to most of my lessons, provided there isn't a test or work left undone. I look forward to school (wow).
It's just subjects like PW and GP that bore the hell out of you. Okay, GP cannot be compared to PW.
Go and die, PW.

Today we were forced to cough up topics for H3. And I coughed up some rubbish about analyzing guitar solos, and it actually sounds pretty promising to me, except that transcription will be gg. Actually I'm more interested in the use of classical music in popular music, but I don't have any thesis for that, although I know Canon in D has been overused (and abused?) by many people in the past few decades. And there is actually a whole long list of songs that have classical music in them, just wiki it. It's quite amazing and if I'm able to formulate some thesis about it I might just do it. Like O.O there are people who use Gymnopedies!!! So cool.
I'm so glad I switched H3 to music. Then I can do fun stuff like listen to Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin and Van Halen and still be doing my homework :D Oh but I desperately need to look for an area to narrow down my topic to. Ahhhh. Should I do comparative across the decades, or focus on one guitarist/band (Yngwie Malmsteen sounds promising for neo-classical rock) or focus on the style of one decade (maybe 1980s) or many other permutations around this topic. Hmmm.
Or I could completely go the another way and come up with an unrelated topic which is about classical and not popular music, which is a lot 'safer' but boring. (Mr Go oi said that there are many papers about Elvis though ;)
This is so fun I'm going to create a playlist called H3 on my ipod.

The holidays haven't passed too quickly, I'm glad for that.
INSERT:
I quite miss the routine of school, actually. Going to gep table, seeing 7C <3, lectures, tutorials, hanging out at the mep library, popping into LT2, etc. We're creatures of habit. I like the sense of security that routine creates. It's comforting to know that you can do these same things while everything around you changes.
Well but of course I like my holidays. I was at home the entire week except for 3 hours on monday and another 3+ on thurs. I've developed this sense of attachment to my room.

Finish chemistry remedial tutorial i.e. cover all CT chapters. Shouldn't be too difficult I guess. And really understand Indian music and what the requirements are.
Went on a hot date with ge <3 to watch free SYCO concert today. Wah, damn pro. I haven't watched good CO in a long time. I miss the fantastic Rosyth CO that was so pro and will perform every celebration. I was really proud of them, I remember. And especially when my brother joined CO playing cello and got promoted to double bass and double bass/cello section leader! And then he went to sec 1 and joined scouts =.= What a stupid decision, I say. (sorry)
I still have yet to collect my contacts. It's been like 3 weeks I think. I hope the shop hasn't thrown them away haha. Maybe wednesday. Anyone wants to come with me? It's at katong shopping centre (short walk from KATONG LAKSA ;) ) Mmm I'm definitely dragging someone to eat laksa and get contacts with me.
I miss training desperately. When promos end, I'm going to train with a vengeance. I'll do 30 jack-knives everyday so I can get back my abline and go for long jogs before assembly so I'll stop feeling tired so darn easily. My arms are degenerating the worst, I think. Super weak now, must get back muscles after promos are over! Oh I miss Mr Yeo <3 This friday is Coaches Day, sprinters should totally do something for him. And don't forget 2nd Nov! (:
After I recover my fitness, nothing will stop me from my 72.
My parents' wedding anniversary is this friday too! So we're going out for dinner. So fun. I want to get married so I can have an excuse to celebrate another day in the year.

Okay I know I totally shouldn't be here but I need a break from the rest of my house! The entire day, all I've done is eat, practise, read, do program notes, read more, practise more, eat more, etc. etc.
I feel very inspired by what I've read about Bach. My p&f are going to sound fantastic. I don't know how to bring out form in my playing. Apart from emphasizing new sections. :S I'm kinda scared they'll ask me some question which I completely don't know how to answer.
Okay I must control my nerves! That's the only way I'll play properly enough. Been thinking about it the whole day. It'll be my last chance to play on a steinway so I'll treasure it. My teacher says I'm ready, so I'm ready! I'm ready to perform for anthony and alison and sweep them off their feet with the beautiful and exciting music I create. I have mastery of my fingers and can produce melodious tones. I will totally pwn tomorrow.

Hairspray was FANTASTIC!!!
It reminds me so much of days of Grease and ECF. I want to do ECF again!!! Oh my I remember it so well. Teaching Shu Ning and Sophia how to do the Cool John Travolta Walk and racking my brains and ordering people around for Hand Jive (hehehe). And the Bollywood thing that we went for at the Esplanade where we were the only really enthu people hahaha. Oh and the ultimate cool horror dance carefully crafted by the fantastic Bib. And most of all sitting around in the ks chee until evening with mainly Kelly, Pagey, Prav, Shoo, Ge and talking about deep issues that pervade RGS, and the various variations of wushu like grease wushu, yoga wushu and our coolioz contemporary dance! Hahaha oh that was such fun.
Let's do ECF again, I say!
I wish I watched Hairspray with Ge and Shoo though (not that Royce and Boyi aren't fun). We would have exactly the same thoughts and memories triggered off, perve all the hot girls (especially that black trio, oh my their arms were damn sexy), swoon over Penny and Seaweed, dance in our seats, get all the sick jokes that were very well hidden (e.g. stiff) and I would put gush over Link but no, he's not that cute la. We should watch Hairspray again as EGG!
Open rehearsal was... okay. In the end only 9 people came, that was quite sad. I fell asleep quite a few times I think hehe. Symphonie Fantastique was only fantastic in the last movement, and the Chopin piano concerto was damn cool for the pianist but not very exciting for the orchestra. And the pianist has cool hair. And there was the big important looking man who turned out to be the tubist.
I really want a new phone because 30% of the time when I call people / pick up calls they can't hear me for some reason. Then waste time calling again. And pokemon is super lag on my phone. I want a faster phone so I can play pokemon silver even.

Tomorrow I'm going to get clothes for dip. And since Tan Zhen wore pants to dip, I will too. My main concern is get all tense AND frozen. Must mentally relax myself starting tomorrow and wear 3 layers of clothes haha. I will try my pre-nats psyching. Hopefully it works just as well.
My mummy is so funny. I got her a box of red pens (wrapped in yellow). When she opened it, she exclaimed 'what sort of present is this?!' then went 'oh hahaha I need red pens actually, I've been buying myself'. After all of it she tried to return me the yellow wrapper: 'nah next year you can buy me red pens again, I still need' Hahaha I love my mum. So do many boys, I am aware. But she loves me most ahaha.
Oh as I walked out of the studio place yesterday, I bumped into Zixin from art! I was all :O:O:O what on earth are you doing here? And she's taking dip too, on friday. Why! Oh the catastrophe. Why so imba can aep and mep at the same time. Such people make me feel really noob.
I must have the right Mentality for my Mozart. Must enjoy the trills, cannot kancheong and rush them. This must be corrected tonight. It's all about the right frame of Mind.
